Pet Blessing Weekend
Saturday, Sept 30th - We will be at Locale 90254 Oktoberfest!
St. Cross Booth:
From 1-6 we will have a booth open on Hermosa Ave just north of Pier Plaza.
People can bring their animals and drop in to get a blessing and take a photo with their pet in our photo booth.
Mainstage Blessing:
At 2:15pm clergy of St. Cross will be offering a blessing over all animals from the main stage.
Sunday, Oct 1st - We will be at church!
During the Service
It's bring your pet to church day! Cats on one side, Dogs on the other!
During communion bring your animal forward to receive a blessing after you receive communion. (You may also bring a picture of your pet, or a stuffed animal!)
Immediately After Church: The whole parish will gather, pets too, on the front steps of the church for a group photo.
After Church til 1pm: We are inviting our neighbors to drop by for a blessing. We will be on the front steps til 1pm giving blessings, passing out treats, there will be an agility course for dogs, and a pet photo booth.
Sunday Evening: Back at Oktoberfest
St. Cross is sponsoring a yodelling contest at Oktoberfest. Join the fun by coming out to watch, or signing up to compete yourself! Don't know how to yodel? It's okay, "you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you." (Phil 4:13) So give it a try!
